Lemon-tree and amaranth flap desk, opening to a drawer decorated with a Greek frieze, a lower leaf simulating three drawers and a flap revealing four drawers and a large compartment with a shelf, framed with brass and amaranth baguette, the Turquin blue marble top with gallery resting on rounded uprights with copper fluting resting on tapered legs. Stamped by Charles Joseph Lemarchand, cabinetmaker received as master in 1789. Late 18th century. H. 134 cm ; W. 79 cm ; D. 38 cm.
