MARSEILLE Covered water pot and its oval basin in earthenware with polychrome decoration of Chinese in the style of Pillement in reserves on brown bottom decorated with garlands of flowers, knotted ribbons and foliage. Attributed to the manufacture of the Widow Perrin. 18th century. Metal mounting around the handle. H. of the water pot : 30 cm. L. of the basin : 38 x 25 cm. Crack on the basin, the handle restored. Featured in the exhibition Un collectionneur et mécène marseillais, Faïences provençales et céramiques ottomanes, Marseille, November 2006-March 2007, catalog by Danielle Maternaty-Baldouy, n° 67-68, p. 104-105.
