Hard-paste porcelain diamond-shaped tray with polychrome decoration of barbs and carmine and gold ribbons.
Marked: LL interlaced and crowned, letter-date FF for 1783, painter's mark Mme Lebel.

This service was purchased́ April 15, 1783 by Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre, a merchant in Amsterdam.
The decoration is not described at the time of this purchase in the manufacture's sales register, but appears in the painters' payment register under the description of barbeaux, carmine ribbon.
This service included thirty-six plates, sixteen compotiers, four lozenge trays and two ice buckets.
On July 5, 1783, Lefebvre purchased two butter dishes at sixty livres each to complete the service.
