NEVERS OR MIDI Baluster-shaped earthenware pitcher, the spout and lid decorated with a bird's head, the handle in the form of a branch, with polychrome decoration of a couple in a park, a child holding a leash, a bird and a shepherdess holding a crook, under the handle the inscription: "pure pensée que diré 1771". 18th century, 1771. H. 25 cm. Restored chip to the bird's beak on the upper rim, a restored crack to the back and restoration to the pedestal. Provenance: Galerie Béalu.
