Antique hard-paste porcelain lamp surmounted by a cookie figure of l'Etude in the guise of a young woman draped in the antique style holding an open book on her lap, the brown-backed lamp decorated in gold with friezes of Grecques, foliage and gadroons.
Designed by Louis-Simon Boizot.
Marked in gold: Sèvres R.F. A. 3 painter's mark Guillaume Noël.
Late 18th century, year 3, 1794-1795.
