The first edition, published the same year by Esprit, was so quickly sold out that Mérigot proposed to Restif to reprint it at his own expense. The edition was completed in twenty days. Copy with four additional leaves at the end of volume II, containing an analysis of Le Paysan perverti and a list of the author's works. A fine copy in contemporary binding. Marginal tear to one leaf, angular loss to one leaf due to the initial size of the leaf.
