Alexandre DUMAS. Les Trois Mousquetaires. Paris, Lecrivain et Toubon, s.d. 2 parts in one volume in-4, half black basane, smooth spine decorated, cover (Period binding). Witkowski, 90-48 /// (2f.)-166-(1f.) / (2f.)-157-(1f.). Popular edition published around 1850. It is rare and missing from Witkowski, who lists only the edition published by Dufour and Mulat in 1852. This edition was probably published earlier. Text on two columns with woodcut illustrations by J.A. Beaucé, F. Philippoteaux, etc. Despite minor rubbing to the binding and heavy foxing, the original is so rare that this copy remains attractive.
