Paris, Renduel, 1832. 2 volumes in-16, long-grained amethyst morocco, framed on the right by a gilt fillet and a cold roulette with a large rhomboid fleuron in the center of the boards, smooth spines beautifully decorated throughout, gilt edges (Period binding). Vicaire, IV-272 /// I. XXIII-185-(2f.) / II. (2f.)-205-(2f.). First edition in this format, published the same year as the original in-8 edition. It bears a mention of Third Edition, but is probably the second, the latter being only cited in the Bibliographie de la France. A delightful, finely bound copy.
