Louis Thomire (1757-1838) Portrait of Monsieur Landes (b. 1802) Small life-size bust in bronze with brown patina Signed and dated "Fecit. Louis / Thomire / 1828" below the left shoulder. Titled "Cld. / Landes/ born 1802" below right shoulder H. 21 cm, on a sea-green marble base and portor marble counter base H. 14.3 cm Louis Thomire, chaser and bronze sculptor at the Manufacture de Sèvres, was probably one of the many collaborators of his cousin Pierre Philippe Thomire.
